General Information

The Riyadh Marathon is scheduled for February 10th, 2024, and bib collection will take place at the village on February 9th, 2024. The village will be active on both days.

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA), which is the main body responsible for raising physical activity levels in the Kingdom, is responsible for organizing the Riyadh Marathon with support from the Ministry of Sport, the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, and the Saudi Arabian Athletic Federation.

Anybody can participate in the Riyadh marathon; we have a variety of races suitable for all ages and athletic abilities. Please make sure to review the terms and conditions upon registering.

There will be four races at the Riyadh Marathon 2024:

  • Full Marathon (42,195 km) - the race is open to participants aged 20 and above
  • Half Marathon (21,0975) km - the race is open to participants aged 18 and above
  • 10 km race - open to participants aged 17 and above
  • 4 km race - open to all ages – children must be accompanied by an adult

Yes, everyone is welcome to participate in the Riyadh Marathon. Please make sure to register as a person with disabilities to ensure all your needs are accommodated.

Your results will be available on the official marathon website (www.riyadhmarathon.org) on February 10th after the race. A downloadable certificate will be available with your results.

You will receive an email after the race with a link to the website to get your photos from the race, that you can find with your bib number.

Yes, there will be opportunities to volunteer at the Riyadh Marathon.

Yes, children under the age of 17 can participate in the 4km race, under parental supervision.

Registration

You can register for the Riyadh Marathon on the official website.

You may cancel your registration in the marathon. However, due to the nature of the event, we are unable to refund registration fees.

Once you submit your registration, you will receive an email confirmation that includes your QR code.

The email confirmation will be individually sent to the email address you included in the registration form to ensure that each participant can easily access their QR code.

You can choose to include the same email address across all registration to receive the confirmation emails.

Registration transfer is not possible, whatever the reason. The rules of the event state that “ The race bib is personal and cannot be transferred to any other person.”, and “ In case of transfer of the bib number to any other person, the participant will be excluded from the final result.”.

Race Kit

The Riyadh Marathon race kit will include your race bib (which you are required to wear on race day), a bag, a t-shirt and a gift.
On race day, all runners will receive a medal after crossing the finish line.

You can pick up your race kit at the marathon village on February 9th. from 9AM to 10PM

You will be required to present a form of ID (National ID, Iqama, or passport) and your registration QR code.

No, race kits will not be distributed on the morning of the marathon.

Race Day

Yes. There will be a storage area at the race village, where you can store your bags and belongings. Luggage will be tagged with your bib number. To collect your belongings after the race, you must present your race number to organizing officials at the counter.

The Organizer will not be held responsible for damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) to participants’ personal belongings.

There will be no changing areas at the venue.

There will be restrooms available throughout the race venue.

There will be refreshment areas every 2.5 km across all races, in addition to the finish line.

All registrants will be given, along with their race number, an electronic chip which will be automatically initialized at the starting line and will serve as a race regularity control at various points depending on the race (every 5km)

Yes, there will be photography and videography during the race. All participants agree to the use of footage by the Saudi Sports for All Federation and Riyadh Marathon during registration as part of the terms and conditions.

Yes, there will be medical staff on alert to attend to any emergency or injuries throughout the race.

Marathon Village

The marathon village will take place on February 9th-10th 2024.

Participants can collect their bibs and gifts at the marathon village, which will include side activations, food trucks, music and more! Details will be shared closer the marathon date.

Everyone is welcome. There will be a variety of activities and festivities not only for runners but also for supporters.
